Contact Me About Your PortraitEvery portrait is painted by hand in oil, from your photos, with a focus on character and emotion. You can choose between two styles:
Pricing is based mainly on canvas size and style. If you have specific dimensions or a special idea in mind, I can adapt the canvas within practical limits. I'll guide you personally from the first email to the final completed oil painting - helping you choose the right style, size, and composition before any paint touches the canvas.
Not sure which style is right for you? Here's a clear side-by-side comparison to make the choice easier.
If you're unsure, simply send me your favourite photos and tell me a bit about your pet and your budget. I'll suggest a style and size that make sense for you and where the painting will hang.

Painterly oils focus on feeling and atmosphere: wet-on-wet layers, visible brushstrokes and a more impressionistic look, while still capturing your pet's unique character and likeness. They're the perfect choice if you want a high-end, original oil painting but don't need the ultra-fine realism of my detailed work.
Prices depend only on canvas size. Multiple pets, background scenery and special requests are included in the price. Please note that the smallest sizes are not always suitable for multi-pet compositions.
Ideal head-and-shoulders portrait for one pet.
Popular choice for 1-2 pets or a slightly larger single portrait.
More breathing room for expressive compositions or full body poses.
Statement size for one or two pets with a strong presence on the wall.
Large, atmospheric piece - ideal for multi-pet compositions or a hero portrait.
Other sizes (including square formats) are available, contact me for prices.
My detailed signature oils are painted slowly in multiple layers, with very fine brushwork and careful attention to every hair, highlight and texture. These pieces are ideal if you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime portrait - a focal point in your home or a deeply personal memorial. I accept a limited number of detailed commissions each year to maintain this level of focus and finish.

The “best” size depends on a few factors:
Most clients start by choosing a style (Painterly or Detailed) and then selecting one of the sizes above as a starting point. From there, we refine the composition together.
To reserve a place in my schedule, you join my client list with a 2 000 SEK deposit.
You send your favourite reference photos (or I help you choose). We discuss your ideas, preferred style, size and any special details you'd like included. I then create a digital mock-up so you can see the overall composition before I begin painting.
Once everything is confirmed, I begin painting your portrait. Detailed commissions are built up in multiple layers, while painterly pieces are created more directly, wet-on-wet. You'll receive regular email updates with photos so you can follow your portrait's progress.
When the portrait is finished, you receive photos to approve. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage if needed. Once you're happy, the final balance is paid and your painting is prepared for shipping.
You don't need to decide every detail on day one - we'll fine-tune the size and composition together after I've seen your photos.
Your photos are crucial to the outcome.
Because I usually can't meet your pet in person, I rely entirely on your references '' large, sharp, well-lit images produce the best results.
